114-2 CMU Showcases 5 Years of BEST Program Achievements
雙語中心、醫學院、中醫學院及藥學院之雙語計畫辦公室於2026年6月4日在水湳總校區卓越大樓一樓玻璃屋舉辦2026年「雙語化學習計畫期末成果發表會」，展現學校推動教育部「大專校院學生雙語化學習計畫（The Program on Bilingual Education for Students in College，簡稱BEST）」五年來的重要成果。透過多元全英語學習活動、EMI（English as a Medium of Instruction）課程及競賽，讓學生在真實情境中自然運用英語，培育兼具專業知能、國際競爭力與跨文化素養的醫療及生醫人才。
本次成果發表會特別邀請藥學院林香汶副院長、生物醫學研究所簡惠玲教授、生醫所校友Dr. Sajid Ali、職業安全與衛生學系柯依潔同學以及藥學系張拉玲（Ms. Yeang Dalin）同學，分享參與EMI課程及雙語計畫的經驗與心得。發表會同時也呈現中國醫藥大學多年來推動EMI教學的豐碩成果，除辦理各類全英語研習與雙語活動外，學校亦舉辦多項全英語競賽，透過「以賽促學」的方式，鼓勵本地學生與國際學生跨文化合作與交流，強化溝通能力與國際視野。此外，學校亦持續建立完善支持系統，包含培力英檢獎勵、EMI護照獎勵、EMI TA培訓及EMI教師卓越教學工作坊等。
中國醫藥大學推動雙語化學習計畫的核心理念為「Empower（培力）、Motivate（鼓勵）、Inspire（啟發）」，致力培養未來具備國際視野的生醫與臨床研究人才。透過從基礎醫學到臨床應用的EMI課程規劃，強化學生專業英語能力、跨域整合能力及創新思維，厚植其國際競爭力。
未來，中國醫藥大學將持續打造國際友善的學習環境，培育兼具專業實力、跨文化關懷與全球影響力的醫療及生醫研究領導人才，讓臺灣醫學教育與人文關懷精神在國際舞台上持續發光發熱。
On June 4, 2026, Bilingual Education Center, Office of BEST Program from College of Medicine, College of Chinese Medicine and College of Pharmacy hosted the "Bilingual Program Achievement Exhibition" on Shuinan Campus. The exhibition showcased the major milestones of the university's five-year implementation of MOE's "Program for Bilingual Education for Students in College (BEST)." Through diverse all-English learning activities, English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) courses, and competitions, CMU allows students to naturally apply English in real-world scenarios, cultivating medical and biomedical talents equipped with professional knowledge, international competitiveness, and cross-cultural literacy.
The exhibition featured a special sharing session with professors, alumni, and students who recounted their experiences and insights regarding EMI courses and the bilingual program. The event also highlighted CMU's rich achievements in promoting EMI teaching over the years. To encourages cross-cultural collaboration and exchange between local and international students, as well as reinforce their communication skills and global outlook, the university has organized various all-English workshops, activities and competitions. Moreover, to ensure long-term success, the university has established a comprehensive support system for incentives and empowerment, including BEST Test Awards, EMI Passport Rewards, EMI TA Training, Faculty Excellence Workshop, etc.
The core philosophy of CMU’s Bilingual Learning Program rests on three pillars: "Empower, Motivate, and Inspire." It is dedicated to nurturing future biomedical and clinical research talents with a global perspective. By mapping out EMI curricula that span from basic medicine to clinical applications, CMU strengthens students' professional English competency, cross-disciplinary integration, and innovative thinking, thereby solidifying their international competitiveness.
Looking ahead, China Medical University will continue to create an internationally friendly learning environment, cultivating medical and biomedical research leaders who possess professional strength, cross-cultural care, and global influence—ensuring that Taiwan’s medical education and humanistic spirit continue to shine brightly on the international stage.
