To enhance the quality of teaching support for EMI courses, the Bilingual Education Center has co-hosted the "EMI Teaching Assistant (TA) Training Workshop" with Fulbright Taiwan
This workshop was led by Fulbright Taiwan consultant William Jones. The core curriculum focused on stimulating student thinking in an all-English environment and assisting students in overcoming language barriers through "group activity design" and "facilitation techniques." William emphasized that TAs serve as a crucial bridge between professors and students, and high-quality interaction can significantly boost student motivation.
Post-event feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with high average satisfaction ratings. Participants expressed that they gained valuable insights. One participant shared, "The workshop was very substantial, especially the parts on communication and facilitation, which gave me more confidence in assisting EMI courses." Another student noted, "The practical cases provided were very relevant to actual classroom needs, allowing us to apply what we learned immediately."
The Center will continue to organize diverse training activities, striving to build a high-quality bilingual learning environment and cultivate the international competitiveness of our faculty and students.
