【活動競賽目標及獲獎資格條件】:

PPT簡報報告

學生可選擇單獨或分組進行全英語的簡報報告,介紹自己國家的醫療系統、醫學文化及特色治療方法。一日工作坊最多只接受7組,一組最多5人。每組或每位報告者將有10分鐘的報告+QA時間,內容可包括:

醫療系統概況(例如醫療保險、醫療資源分配、醫療服務的可及性等)

醫學文化及其對病患的影響

獨特的治療方法或療法(例如傳統醫學、替代療法、特殊療法等)

醫療系統中的挑戰/難處、解決方法及策略、未來發展方向

【觀眾參與】:

每組簡報結束後,請鼓勵所有參與者需提出最少3個問題或發表對該主題的心得感想,與報告者進行互動,才符合競賽資格。

【線上投票】

每組簡報結束後將進行2分鐘的線上投票,所有參與者以及老師可針對報告的內容、清晰度與互動性進行投票。投票結果將於活動結束時公布。

獎項設置每位參賽者都將獲得EMI護照點數6點

第一名:獎金5000元 + 獎狀,共2名

第二名:獎金3000元 + 獎狀,共2名

Cross-Cultural Healthcare English Communication Workshop: Exploring Diverse Healthcare Cultures, Medical Technologies, and Health Care Systems Around the World

Event Goals:

  1. Promote cultural exchange and interaction between local and international students, expanding global perspectives on the field of medicine.
  2. Enhance students' understanding of healthcare systems in various countries, recognizing different medical cultures and unique treatment methods.
  3. Provide a platform for sharing and learning, encouraging students to think about medical and health issues from a cross-cultural perspective.
  4. Strengthen the university's international education, enhancing students' global competitiveness.

Event Timeline:

  1. Registration Period: March 17, 2025 (Mon) - April 11, 2025 (Fri)
  2. Workshop Dates: April 22, 2025 (Tue) - April 23, 2025 (Wed), 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Dinner provided)
  3. Award Announcement: May 5, 2025 (Mon), before 12:00 PM

Competition Goals & Eligibility for Awards:

  • PPT Presentation Report:
    Students can choose to present individually or in groups (a group can have a maximum of five members.) in English, introducing their country’s healthcare system, medical culture, and unique treatment methods. A maximum of 7 groups will be accepted. Each presenter or group will have 10 minutes for their presentation, followed by a Q&A session. The content can include:
    • Overview of the healthcare system (e.g., healthcare insurance, resource allocation, etc.)
    • Medical culture and its impact on patients
    • Unique treatments or therapies (e.g., traditional medicine, alternative therapies, etc.)
    • Challenges in the healthcare system and future development directions
  • Audience Participation:
    After each group’s presentation, participants must ask at least 3 questions or share their thoughts on the topic to interact with the presenters in order to qualify for the competition.
  • Online Voting:
    After each presentation, there will be a 2-minute online voting session, where all participants and teachers can vote on the content, clarity, and interactivity of the presentation. Voting results will be announced at the end of the event.

Target Participants:
Open to all students.

Event Agenda:

5:00 PM - 5:30PM Opening Introduction & Registration (sign-in, introduction to event background, explanation of goals, and event process, dinner time)
5:30 PM - 6:50 PM Competition Begins (each group will present in turn on their country’s healthcare system and unique treatment methods)
6:50 PM - 7:00 PM Conclusion & Appreciation

Expected Outcomes:

  1. Enhanced Cross-Cultural Understanding and Cooperation:
    Through sharing and discussion, students from different countries will gain a deeper understanding of each other’s healthcare systems and cultural backgrounds, fostering mutual respect and cross-cultural understanding.
  2. Expanded International Perspective:
    Students will draw valuable insights from experiences in different countries, expanding their global perspective on the field of medicine, preparing them for future career development.
  3. Promotion of Academic Exchange:
    Students will learn about the characteristics of different countries' medical and healthcare systems and approach global healthcare challenges and future development in a more diverse manner.
  4. Strengthening the University’s International Image:
    This event will enhance the university’s image in the field of international education, promoting more exchange and participation from international students.

Award Setup: Each participant will get 6 EMI passport points.

  • First Prize: NT$5,000 + Certificate, 2 winners
  • Second Prize: NT$3,000 + Certificate, 2 winners
  • Third Prize: NT$2,000 + Certificate, 2 winners​​​​​​​
